The Utva Lasta 95 is a Yugoslav-designed single-engine low-wing primary and basic trainer developed to modernise pilot training in the Yugoslav Air Force.

History
First flown in 1985, the Lasta 95 was developed by Utva to provide a modern piston trainer with performance characteristics closer to those of jet aircraft. Development was protracted and the type entered service with the successor air forces of the former Yugoslavia.
Variants
The Lasta 2 is a turboprop-powered development; the basic piston Lasta 95 remained the primary initial production form.
