History
Developed by Rostvertol in the 2000s as an upgrade for Mi-24 operators seeking modern capabilities without the expense of a new type, the Mi-35M incorporates VK-2500 turboshaft engines, a new rotor system, and digital avionics. It first flew around 2005–2010 and has been exported to several nations. Brazil, Venezuela, and Iraq are among its operators.
Variants
The Mi-35M is itself a modernisation of the Mi-24V/Mi-35; related variants include the Mi-35P with a gun pod.
