History
First flown in 1935, the FN.305 was adopted by the Regia Aeronautica as a training and liaison aircraft. It was also exported to several countries and achieved success in air races. Production continued through the late 1930s.

Several variants existed with different engine installations including radial and inline engines; the FN.305A and 305D were among the main production marks.
