History

Unlike his first designs it was of conventional configuration. It was very similar to the single-seat Type B built slightly earlier.

Variants

The fuselage of some had a diamond-shaped section, while others shared the triangular section of the Type B.

Where you'll see it

In December 1910 Type Ds set speed records for flights with a passenger over 100 and 250 km. One was the only monoplane to finish the 1911 Circuit of Europe.
