The REP Type N was an early French aeroplane designed by Robert Esnault-Pelterie, one of the pioneers of aviation who also invented the control stick and conducted early rocket research.

History
Flying in 1909, the REP Type N used Esnault-Pelterie's own semi-radial fan engine and a steel-tube fuselage at a time when most aircraft used wooden structure. The design was influential in demonstrating alternatives to the Wright and Blériot approaches.
Variants
REP produced several related monoplane types; the Type N was one of a series of progressive designs.
