History

It was developed from the KZ VII with a more powerful 145 hp Continental C145 engine. The prototype first flew on 29 September 1951.

Variants

The prototype was modified with a steel-framed rudder as the KZ X Mk.2. Twelve were built.

Where you'll see it

Deliveries to the Danish Army began in 1952 but two had crashed by summer, and two more crashed in 1954. The type was withdrawn and scrapped in 1960, leaving the prototype, now in Danmarks Flymuseum.
