The Shenyang JJ-1 (Jian Jiao-1) was China's first domestically designed jet aircraft, a single-engine swept-wing trainer developed to provide the People's Liberation Army Air Force with an indigenous jet training capability.

History
First flown in July 1958, the JJ-1 was a significant achievement for China's nascent aviation industry, though it did not enter large-scale production. The design drew heavily on Soviet influence but represented an independent Chinese design effort.

Only a small number of prototypes and pre-production examples were built; the type did not reach full-scale production.
