The TB 200 Tobago GT is the 200 hp fuel-injected top of the fixed-gear Tobago line, giving brisker performance while keeping the simplicity of fixed undercarriage.

As with all Tobagos, the fixed spatted tricycle gear is the giveaway. The GT's noticeably raised cabin roofline and the deeper fuel-injected cowl mark out the 200 hp variant from the 180 hp TB 10.

History
Socata launched the 200 hp Tobago as the XL in 1991, fitting a fuel-injected Lycoming IO-360 to lift the fixed-gear airframe's payload and climb. The GT refresh around 2000 added a raised carbon cabin roof, revised aerodynamics and updated avionics. It remained in production at Tarbes until the TB piston line closed in 2004.
Variants
It is the muscular version of the TB 10, sharing that aircraft's structure but with more power and injection. It sits just below the retractable Trinidad in the range. Some 725 Tobagos of all types were built.
Where you'll see it
The TB 200 is well represented on the UK register as a capable four-seat tourer for owners wanting extra performance without retractable-gear complexity. It found use with clubs and private syndicates across Britain. No military operator adopted it.
