SOKO G-4 Super Galeb

The SOKO G-4 Super Galeb is a Yugoslav twin-seat jet trainer and light combat aircraft, developed to replace the G-2 Galeb in Yugoslav Air Force service. It uses a single turbofan engine and features a side-by-side seating arrangement unusual for a combat-capable trainer.

History
First flown in 1978, the G-4 entered Yugoslav Air Force service in 1985. It was used by the 'Leti Zvezde' (Flying Stars) aerobatic display team and flew operational missions during the Yugoslav Wars of the 1990s. After the break-up of Yugoslavia, the aircraft were divided among the successor states, and Serbia continued to operate the type.
Variants
A single main production version was built; some later aircraft received updated avionics.
