History

Designed by Adam Meus as a replacement for the SZD-50-3 Puchacz, the prototype first flew on 8 May 1991 at Jelenia Gora. Development stalled in the 1990s and resumed after Allstar PZL Glider took over the rights in 2002.

Variants

The wing can be fitted with simple tips for 17.5 metre aerobatic flying, winglets at 17.5 metres for training, or a 20 metre extension with winglets for cross-country flying.

Where you'll see it

With the 17.5 metre wing it is certified for unlimited aerobatics. It has fixed monowheel gear and a design life of 15,000 flight hours.
