History
The Tango 2 was developed from the 1983 Aero Mirage TC-2 design. It is a side-by-side two-seat aircraft that the maker says can be built in as little as 1,000 hours.
Variants
The Tango XR is an extended-range version with 90 gallon wet wing fuel tanks. The design was developed further into the four-seat Team Tango Foxtrot.
Where you'll see it
Eighteen Tango 2 aircraft had been built by December 2013. Engines range from the 150 hp Lycoming O-320 to a 205 hp EcoTech supercharged power package, the most popular being the 180 hp IO-360.
