The Tsybin RSR was a Soviet supersonic reconnaissance aircraft prototype designed to operate at extreme altitudes and speeds exceeding Mach 2. It was an ambitious design ahead of its time.

History
Developed in the late 1950s under Pavel Tsybin, the RSR was intended as a high-speed strategic reconnaissance platform. Though it achieved flight in 1959, the programme was cancelled in favour of other reconnaissance solutions and only a prototype was completed. It reached remarkable speeds for its era.
Variants
Only a single prototype was built; the programme did not advance to production.
