The Windracers Ultra is a British autonomous fixed-wing cargo UAV designed for long-range logistics in remote or austere environments, capable of carrying up to 200 kg of payload over distances exceeding 2,000 km.

Identified by its high-mounted straight wing, slender twin-boom fuselage, and twin rear-mounted piston pusher engines; the Mk2 is distinguished by its inverted V-tail in place of the original T-tail.

History
Developed by UK start-up Windracers, the Mk1 first flew in 2019 with a twin-boom T-tail configuration powered by two Hirth F23 two-stroke piston engines. The improved Mk2 introduced an inverted V-tail and increased payload capacity, and in early 2026 Windracers was selected under a UK government drone supply package for Ukraine.
Variants
The Mk1 featured a twin-boom T-tail; the Mk2 adopted an inverted V-tail with expanded payload and range. Both share the same 10 m wingspan and twin-engine layout.
Where you'll see it
Trialled with the Royal Navy, UK MoD, and British Antarctic Survey for polar resupply; operated in Ukraine for military logistics from 2023. In 2022 it completed the UK's first CAA-approved civil drone flight across international airspace, from Shetland to Norway.
