The Aero Ae 02 was one of the first aircraft produced by the newly founded Aero company in Czechoslovakia, a small single-seat biplane that demonstrated the fledgling firm's early capabilities. First flown in 1921, it established the foundations for Aero's subsequent product range.

History
Founded in 1919, Aero rapidly developed a series of light aircraft in the early 1920s. The Ae 02 was an early production type drawing on wartime biplane technology, adapted for the needs of the young Czechoslovak Air Force and civil market.
Variants
The Ae 01 was the preceding design; the Ae 02 represented a refinement with a shorter fuselage and higher top speed.
