History
Development of the An-132 was announced around 2015 as a joint Ukrainian-Saudi project, with Antonov providing the airframe and Saudi Arabia offering finance. The prototype first flew in April 2017 at Kyiv. The programme was intended to attract orders from nations operating the An-26 and An-32, but geopolitical turbulence and the subsequent war in Ukraine have complicated its future.
Variants
The An-132D is the main demonstrator configuration; a civilian freight variant has been discussed.
