The Learjet 45 was Bombardier's first clean-sheet Learjet, a light business jet with a roomier stand-up cabin and modern systems while keeping the marque's brisk performance.

History
First flown in 1995 and certified in 1997, the Model 45 introduced a new fuselage, wing and Honeywell Primus 1000 avionics. It aimed to offer more cabin comfort than earlier Learjets without sacrificing speed.
Variants
It spawned the shorter Learjet 40 and the improved Learjet 45XR and 40XR with uprated engines and higher weights, sharing most systems across the family.
Where you'll see it
The 45 is common in UK and European charter and fractional fleets, and served as a fast executive and light-utility transport. Its blend of range and cabin size kept it competitive for years.
