The Cirrus Vision Jet SF50 is the world's first certified single-engine civilian jet, a personal carbon-fibre jet with a single fuselage-top turbofan and a whole-airframe parachute.

History
First flown on 3 July 2008, the SF50 reached certification in 2016 after a lengthy development. It carried Cirrus's signature Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) into the jet world and targeted owner-pilots stepping up from the SR22 piston single.
Variants
Cirrus has progressed the type through the G2 and G2+ generations, adding more power, autoland (Safe Return) and cabin refinements. All share the single-engine, V-tail configuration.
Where you'll see it
A growing presence among UK owner-flyers, the Vision Jet operates from regional and business airfields and is seen at Farnborough and other GA-friendly fields. Its simplicity suits single-pilot private ownership across Britain.
