The Dornier Do 25 was a German STOL utility aircraft of the mid-1950s, built in Spain by CASA as a stepping stone to the more famous Do 27, the first German military aircraft produced after the Second World War.

High-wing strut-braced monoplane with a rounded fuselage, fixed undercarriage, and full-span wing slats visible on the leading edge. Very closely resembles the Do 27 — the earlier Do 25 has a slightly different engine cowling and minor structural differences detectable only by specialists.

History
Dornier designed the Do 25 in collaboration with Spain, where German engineers could work without the postwar restrictions applied in Germany itself. Manufactured by CASA and flown in 1954, it led directly to the refined Do 27, which Dornier then produced in Germany under Franco's German rearmament. The Do 25 itself served in very small numbers with the Spanish Air Force.
Variants
The Do 25 was effectively a prototype for the Do 27; the CASA-built aircraft were designated C-127 in Spanish service.
Where you'll see it
A handful served with the Spanish Air Force (Ejército del Aire) in the mid-1950s; the type was quickly superseded by the Do 27.
