The Dornier Do 27 is a German single-engine high-wing STOL utility aircraft, the first aircraft produced in post-war West Germany, serving military and civil operators from the late 1950s.

History
Designed by Claude Dornier and developed originally in Spain as the CASA 127, the Do 27 was the first aircraft type certified for production in the Federal Republic of Germany. The Luftwaffe and Heer ordered large numbers for liaison and observation duties.
Variants
The Do 27A-1 to A-4 were the main military variants with progressively improved equipment; the Do 27B and Q were export and civil versions; 680 aircraft were built in total.
Where you'll see it
The Bundeswehr operated Do 27s from 1958 until the 1980s; export customers included Spain, Portugal, South Africa, and several African nations.
