Recognition (WEFT)
| W — Wings | Low-mounted, swept |
|---|---|
| E — Engines | 2 × turbofan, fuselage-mounted |
| F — Fuselage | Swept wing and aft-fuselage turbofans |
| T — Tail | T-tail |
WEFT is AircraftIQ's four-point recognition method — how it works.
Spot it by:
- Wider oval cabin than the earlier G100
- Swept wing and aft-fuselage turbofans
- T-tail on a mid-size fuselage
Distinguish it from the G100 by the noticeably wider, deeper cabin, while retaining the swept wing, aft engines and T-tail.

History
Gulfstream and IAI developed the G150 as a successor to the G100, fitting a new wider fuselage cross-section on the proven Astra wing. It first flew in May 2005 and entered service in 2006.
Variants
The G150 shares its lineage with the Astra/G100 family but introduced a redesigned oval cabin seating up to eight. It sits below the larger Galaxy-derived G200 in the range.
Where you'll see it
The G150 is flown by UK and European charter and corporate operators wanting a fast mid-size jet with a comfortable cabin for regional and transcontinental trips.
