History
Gulfstream evolved the GIII into the GIV, which first flew in 1985 with new Rolls-Royce Tay engines and a longer, aerodynamically refined airframe. The IV-SP was later marketed as the G400, with the shorter-range G300 as a lower-cost variant.
Variants
The GIV family spans the GIV, GIV-SP, G300, G400 and the extended-range G450, all sharing the same fuselage and wing. Each offered incremental improvements in avionics, weight and range.
