The IAR 825 was a Romanian two-seat light training aircraft produced by Industria Aeronautică Română at Ghimbav, intended for primary and basic training with Romanian aero clubs.

History
IAR developed the 825 in the early 1980s as a domestically produced trainer to reduce dependence on imported aircraft for Romanian flying clubs. It followed the IAR 821 and 823 series and represented continued Romanian investment in light aviation.
Variants
The IAR 825 TP was a turboprop-powered development; the basic 825 used a conventional piston engine.
