The ICON A5 is an amphibious Light Sport Aircraft designed to combine the accessibility of a sports boat with the freedom of flight, featuring folding wings for marina storage and a pusher propeller configuration. It targets recreational flyers with a watersports lifestyle.

History
ICON Aircraft was founded in 2006 and the A5 first flew in 2008; certification was achieved in 2015 after an extended development. Production ramp-up proved difficult and the company changed ownership, but deliveries continued and the A5 has attracted a devoted following among water-based recreational pilots.
Variants
A single production variant; an evolution with revised wing design was introduced during the production run.
