The Kamov Ka-62 is the civil development of the Ka-60 Kasatka, a medium transport helicopter with a single main rotor and shrouded tail rotor aimed at commercial operators.

History
Sharing the Ka-60's airframe, the Ka-62 was refined for civil use with a five-bladed main rotor, a fenestron-type tail and Western-supplied engines and transmission. Long delayed, it made its first free flight around 2017 during a protracted certification effort.
Variants
The Ka-62 is offered mainly as a passenger and utility transport carrying up to around fifteen people, with offshore, medevac and VIP fits proposed. It differs from the military Ka-60 chiefly in rotor blades, powerplant and interior.
Where you'll see it
Aimed at the oil-and-gas, corporate and rescue markets, the Ka-62 has seen only limited introduction and has no UK service, where the market is served by types such as the AW139 and H175. Its progress has been slow and largely domestic.
