The SIAT 223 Flamingo is a German two-seat low-wing monoplane trainer and touring aircraft first flown on 1 March 1967, later produced in Spain by CASA.

History
Originally designed by Société Industrielle pour l'Aéronautique et le Transport (SIAT) in Germany, the Flamingo was taken over by MBB and then licensed to CASA of Spain, which built the majority of the approximately 97 aircraft completed. It served as a basic trainer for several European flying schools.
Variants
The MBB 223 and CASA 223 designations reflect the German and Spanish production runs respectively; minor avionics and engine fits varied between batches.
