The Neiva Regente is a Brazilian single-engine high-wing liaison and observation aircraft developed by Indústria Aeronáutica Neiva SA in the early 1960s. It was designed to meet Brazilian Air Force requirements for a simple and rugged light aircraft.

History
First flying in 1961, the Regente was adopted by the Força Aérea Brasileira (FAB) for liaison, observation, and training duties. It represented Brazil's early efforts to develop a domestic aircraft manufacturing capability.
Variants
The L-42 Regente was the standard FAB version; the C-42 designation covered liaison variants. A four-seat configuration was also produced.
