The SIAI-Marchetti S-211 is an Italian two-seat jet trainer and light attack aircraft designed for both primary and advanced jet training. It features a single turbofan engine with fuselage-side air intakes and tandem seating.

History
First flown in 1981, the S-211 was developed as an export trainer to compete in the light jet trainer market. It achieved modest export sales and was further developed into the Aermacchi M-311 and M-345 lineage.
Variants
The S-211A was an improved variant; the Aermacchi M-311 is a modernised derivative continuing the basic design.
