History

First flown in 1969 as a joint venture between SIAI-Marchetti and the Swiss firm FFA, the AS 202 was adopted by several air forces and many civil operators. Its solid construction and honest handling made it a popular ab-initio trainer through the 1970s and 1980s.

Variants

Produced in 150 hp (AS 202/15), 180 hp (AS 202/18), and aerobatic (AS 202/18A) variants; the Swiss-built FFA AS 202 Bravo served the Swiss Air Force.
