The Sukhoi Su-29 is a two-seat aerobatic biplane developed as a training and competition aircraft derived from the single-seat Su-26 monoplane. It features side-by-side seating and shares the Su-26's high-performance aerobatic pedigree.

History
Developed in the late 1980s to provide a two-seat aerobatic trainer for competition pilots, the Su-29 first flew in 1991. It has been used in international aerobatic competition by Russian teams and has been exported to a number of countries. The design retains the powerful Vedenyev M14P radial engine and composite airframe philosophy of the Su-26.
Variants
The Su-29 is the standard two-seat variant; the Su-29T was an enhanced export version with updated equipment.
