History

Tecnam launched the eleven-seat P2012 in partnership with Massachusetts commuter airline Cape Air, which needed a new-build successor to its Cessna 402 fleet. First flight came in July 2016 at Capua, and Cape Air took the first deliveries in 2019, putting the type onto scheduled routes around New England and the Caribbean.
