History

The Bonanza first flew in 1945 and the V-tail configuration defined production until 1982. The V35B, introduced in 1970, featured the Continental IO-520-B engine and represented the mature refinement of the design with improved avionics provisions.

Variants

The V35B was the final V-tail sub-variant; Beechcraft simultaneously offered the A36 Bonanza with a conventional tail, which continued production well past the V-tail's retirement.

Where you'll see it

Enormously popular with high-performance private pilots, the Bonanza series has accumulated more than 17,000 airframes and the V35B commands strong residual values as a classic touring aircraft.
