History
Development of the Wulung began in the 2000s under Indonesia's national aerospace company as part of efforts to develop indigenous UAV capability. The aircraft made its first flight in 2012 and was demonstrated to the Indonesian military. Indonesia sought to field it with the TNI-AU (Air Force) and TNI-AL (Navy) for coastal and border surveillance, reducing dependence on foreign ISR platforms.
Variants
Initial production standard; reported follow-on variants with improved sensors and longer endurance.
