The Dassault nEUROn is a European demonstrator unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV) with a tailless delta flying-wing configuration, designed to explore stealth, internal weapons carriage, and autonomous flight.

History

Developed under a six-nation European collaboration led by Dassault (France, Greece, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland), the nEUROn first flew in December 2012 from Istres. It has since performed extensive testing including weapons release trials and low-observable assessments.

Variants

A single demonstrator airframe has been built; nEUROn is a technology demonstrator, not a production type.

Not in operational service; the programme is a research and technology demonstrator shared among partner nations.
