The Curtiss-Wright CW-22 was an American advanced trainer monoplane designed for export and produced in small numbers during the early 1940s. It provided a more capable training platform for Allied air forces seeking a step up from basic trainers.

History
The CW-22 was developed primarily for export, with the Netherlands East Indies Army Air Corps being a significant customer. A number of CW-22s were captured by Japanese forces following the fall of the Dutch East Indies in early 1942. The design was related to the earlier CW-19 and CW-21 family of Curtiss-Wright light fighters and trainers.
Variants
Built as the CW-22 and a navalized CW-22B variant; the SNC-1 Falcon was the US Navy version ordered in larger numbers.
