The Embraer Praetor is a family of super-midsize business jets derived from the Legacy 500 and 450 platforms, offered in Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 variants with intercontinental range and advanced avionics. It represents Embraer's flagship offering in the large-cabin business aviation segment.

History

Announced at NBAA 2018 and certified by ANAC and FAA in 2019, the Praetor 500 and 600 introduced winglets, enhanced engines, and Bossa Nova cabin branding to the established Legacy 500/450 airframes. They quickly attracted a global customer base seeking trans-Atlantic capability in a mid-size platform.

Variants

The Praetor 500 (mid-size, from Legacy 450) and Praetor 600 (super-midsize, from Legacy 500) form the family; both share the fly-by-wire system inherited from the Legacy series.
