Longer than the E190-E2 and visibly more slender relative to its length than a comparable A220. The scimitar winglets and long wing are shared with the E190-E2; count fuselage windows or compare overall length to distinguish the two E2 siblings.

History

Launched alongside the E190-E2 and E175-E2 in 2013, the E195-E2 first flew on 29 January 2019. It entered service with Azul Brazilian Airlines in September 2019. The new high-aspect-ratio wing and geared turbofans deliver up to 25 per cent better fuel burn than the original E195, repositioning Embraer squarely in the 120-150 seat market.

Variants

The E195-E2 is the stretched sibling of the E190-E2, sharing its wing and engines but with a longer fuselage. The E175-E2 is the smallest of the three; the E195-E2 is the only one that is longer than its first-generation counterpart.

Where you'll see it

European operators including KLM Cityhopper have ordered the E195-E2 for medium-density European routes. UK relevance grows as airlines replace ageing narrow-bodies with the type, which is also marketed to potential British regional and charter operators.
