History
The Fokker F27 Friendship first flew in November 1955 and became one of the most successful turboprop airliners ever built. The 400M Troopship variant introduced military fittings, reinforced flooring, paratroop door, and provision for cargo pallets.
Variants
The F27 Military family includes the 400M Troopship, 500M Maritime Enforcer patrol aircraft, and various Mk.050/060 updates; Fairchild also built the type in the USA as the FH-227.
