The FMA IA 50 Guaraní II was an Argentine twin-turboprop transport aircraft designed and produced by the Fábrica Militar de Aviones at Córdoba. It served the Argentine Air Force in the light transport and VIP roles.

History

First flown in 1963, the Guaraní II was an improved development of the earlier piston-powered Guaraní I, replacing that type's engines with Turbomeca Bastan turboprops. It served with the Fuerza Aérea Argentina for several decades.

Variants

The IA 50 Guaraní II was the main production variant; it succeeded the IA 35 Huanquero and the earlier Guaraní I. A small number were used in the VIP transport role.
