History

It was LFG's first post-war flying boat and appeared in 1919. Many German prototypes of the period were judged by the Allies to be warplanes and destroyed, but the Susanna was accepted as a civil type.

Variants

In 1920 a more powerful four-seat variant, the V 3a Susanne, was flown with a revised wing plan and a completely new, wider hull. Only one of each type was built.

Where you'll see it

It was built as a tourer or trainer and only one example of each version was made. It carried a pilot and two passengers or a student.
