The Piper PA-28R-200 Arrow is the retractable-gear, fuel-injected member of the Cherokee family, providing an accessible step-up aircraft for pilots building complex airplane endorsements.

History
Introduced in 1967 as the PA-28R-180 and quickly re-engined as the 200-hp PA-28R-200 by 1969, the Arrow became Piper's entry-level retractable single. Its automatic gear-extension system was designed to prevent inadvertent gear-up landings.
Variants
The Arrow evolved through Arrow II (extended fuselage), Arrow III (tapered wing), and Arrow IV (T-tail), with a turbocharged Turbo Arrow running alongside the normally aspirated line.

Extensively used by flight schools as a complex single trainer and privately operated worldwide; the Arrow is still a common sight at general aviation airports across North America and Europe.
