History

Robin developed the DR.250 to appeal to owners requiring more payload and performance than the basic DR.220 could offer. The Capitaine name reflected its positioning as a step up in capability. The wooden airframe continued Robin's Jodel-influenced construction philosophy, balancing performance with affordable manufacturing costs.

Variants

The DR.250 Capitaine is followed in the family by the DR.253 Regent, which further refined the design.

Where you'll see it

Sold to French and European private owners and aero clubs during the late 1960s and 1970s.
