| T — Tail | T-tail |
WEFT is AircraftIQ's four-point recognition method — how it works.
Spot it by:
- Large ultra-long-range jet
- Highly swept wing
- T-tail with rear engines
Look for the long, wide-cabin fuselage with large oval windows, sharply swept wing and tall T-tail with two rear-mounted engines. Its sheer size sets it apart from mid-size jets.

History
First flown in 2009 and certified in 2012, the G650 became Gulfstream's flagship and one of the fastest and longest-ranged civil aircraft of its time. It set numerous city-pair speed records and reshaped the top of the business-jet market.
Variants
The extended-range G650ER raised range further, and the airframe underpins Gulfstream's later large-cabin developments. The type is also used in special-mission and government-transport roles.
Where you'll see it
In the UK the G650 frequents Farnborough and London Luton for corporate, charter and head-of-state movements, with its long range linking Britain non-stop to Asia and the US west coast. Its size and performance mark it as a flagship of the bizjet ramp.
