The A350-1000 is the longer, higher-capacity variant of the A350 XWB family, seating 360–410 passengers and targeting long-haul routes previously served by the Boeing 747 and 777-300ER.

WEFT is AircraftIQ's four-point recognition method — how it works.

The extended rear fuselage is the definitive visual cue over the A350-900; the six-wheel main bogies confirm identification at ground level; both variants share identical carbon-fibre fuselage panels, nose profile and winglet style.

History

The A350-1000 first flew in November 2016 and entered service with Qatar Airways in February 2018. It incorporates a stretched fuselage with two additional door pairs, uprated Trent XWB-97 engines and reinforced six-wheel main bogies. Its range of approximately 16,100 km covers virtually all commercially viable non-stop city pairs.

Variants

No distinct sub-variants in service; an ultra-long-range A350-1000ULR variant has been studied but not launched, though the A350-900ULR is in service with Singapore Airlines.

Where you'll see it

In service with Qatar Airways, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and others; strong order book positions it as a primary replacement for ageing 747 and early 777 fleets.
